Guest Presenter

On Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 10:00 am, Leigh Stokes from Volunteers For Issaquah Schools Foundation will be talking to our playgroup about the upcoming Issaquah school levies and their impact on our children's education. If you are interested in hearing her speak, please join us at the fire staion for playgroup on this date.

Highlands Children's Hospital Guild Toy Drive

Hope on the Hill Guild is coordinating a toy drive for Seattle Children's Hospital. If you are interested in donating to this great cause, there will be a bin at the fire station during our playgroups for you to drop of your donation of new toys.

Please note: For safety and infection control reasons, please donate only new items that are washable, nontoxic and not easily broken. The hospital is unable to accept used toys or toys that represent violence. Please do not send large metal trucks or toys. Please do not wrap donations. A list of suggested items will be linked to our yahoo group.

Pizza Day at Playgroup

Zeeks Pizza will deliver the pizza they forgot to deliver for Halloween on Tuesday, November 3rd at 11 am. If you want to stay after playgoup we'll be having a little pizza party.

Fire Station Tour

After song time on Tuesday, October 19th, the kiddos were invited on a tour of the fire station. Of course, the big hit was getting to explore the fire engine and aid car. Here are some photos that Sailaja captured of the event.

Halloween Party

On Oct. 29th from 10am-12pm, we will have a Halloween party. Come dressed in your Halloween costume and bring drinks or food to share. Zeek's Pizza will be donating a cheese pizza to the party.

Playgroup Guest

On Tuesday, Oct. 13th a PartyLite consultant will have a nice display of different products as well as scent samplers. She wouldn’t be selling product, but rather just showing samples of candles and home décor. If you would like to host a candle party you can earn a shopping spree. In addition, for each party booked from a playgroup attendee she will donate 5% of her profit back to the playgroup.

The Issaquah Highland's Playgroup has a new Co-op format. This means that all parents who attend chip in and help out with the set-up, clean-up, toy sanitation as well as contribution of items for the group. Below is a Wish List of items we would love to have for the kiddos:

Issaquah Highlands Co-op Playgroup

The Issaquah Highlands Co-opPlaygroup meets at the Issaquah Highlands Fire Station on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:00 am. The group is open to Babies and Toddlers up to years old, as well as their parents and caregivers who reside within the Issaquah Highlands community. Our goal for the group is to allow the children to socialize and play with other neighbors while providing a forum for discussion of relevant parenting-related topics. Toys and supplies are shared/donated by Co-op members, so please bring a toy to share while you join us.
